La carovana procede spedita! 

Attraversiamo il Marocco... Terra verde, terra rigogliosa, terra rossa, arida, dura e rocciosa, terra di curve che disegnano il paesaggio all'orizzonte, sinuose... terra di pianura e di cime innevate. E su questa terra, dal nostro finestrino, vediamo scorrere veloci minareti, animali al pascolo, asini da soma, piccoli villaggi e la frenesia del traffico urbano, gli occhi stupiti e sorridenti di chi, ai bordi delle strade, ci vede passare, coi nostri piccoli motori colorati.

The caravan proceeds fast!

We crossed Morocco... green land, luxuriant, red sand, dry and harsh land, land of curves that draw the landscape far in the horizon, flat prairie and white peaks. And in this land, outside the windows, we see a fast sequence of minarets, free animals grazing, pack-donkeys, small villages and the crowdness of urban bustle, the amazed and cheerful eyes of people at the edges of the streets starring at us.

Superare le colonne d'Ercole per gli antichi, era cosa impossibile... Finiva il mondo... Superare l'interminabile coda alla frontiera Marocchina è altrettanto un'impresa... Poi però ti si apre un mondo! Benvenuti in Marocco! Benvenuti in Africa!

Overcoming the Pillars of Hercules, for the ancients, was something impossible even to think... the world was supposed to end right there... Passing the endless queue at the Morocco's borders is a challenge, anyway... But after that, an entire world opens itself to you!

Giorno 1 È RAID AFRIQUE - Day 1 IT'S RAID AFRIQUE

Dopo aver dato l'ultima occhiata da vicino alla macchina, questa mattina siamo partiti!!! Ora è veramente RAID AFRIQUE.

Bambini nel Deserto

MOLTO IMPORTANTE: non ve l'avevamo ancora detto, ma ogni team della carovana porterà con sé una sacca di beni di prima necessità da donare alle popolazioni bisognose durante il percorso. Questo è stato reso possibile grazie alla collaborazione di "Bambini Nel Deserto" e alla sensibilità di Bruno.

Estensione baule!

Trasformare la 2cv in un "hotel 5 stelle" è abbastanza semplice: levando il sedile posteriore e utilizzando l'estensione del bagagliaio (prestataci da Luca) si raggiunge la lunghezza necessaria per poter stare distesi in 2 all'interno dell'abitacolo.

Trunk extension!

Transforming the 2cv in a "5stars hotel" is quite easy: removing the rear seat and using the trunk extension (that Luca lent us) we reached the necessary length to lay comfortable in two inside the cabin.

Thanks to Benny now Margot feels more prepared to face the Great Desert... a new drainpipe, shorter than the previous one, has been fixed and, moreover, we had the honor to receive a very well done copy of the original "Raid Afrique 1973" car sticker! brummm

Rinforzi telaio!

Le 2cv vendute nelle colonie francesi utilizzavano un particolare telaio rinforzato denominato P.O. "Pais d' Outremer". Nel mio tali rinforzi non erano presenti, quindi sono stati montati e sono stati sistemati alcuni punti critici dello stesso. Un Grazie a Nicola per l'ottimo lavoro.

The 2cvs sold in the french colonies, used to have a particular reinforced frame named P.O. "Pais d'Outremer". Mine, didn't have those supports, so we built them and we fixed few critical points of the frame. A special thanks to Nicola for the wonderful job.
